Working through the Deparment of Visual Arts, My current job is to re-design and build a new website for the department. Past duties include design of a poster and website for the outgoing graduate MFA students.

MARCH2007 – PRESENT – Decision Quest - Chicago, IL
Part-time Freelance Graphic Designer assisting with current projects. taking direction from the graphics consultant clients, and working closely with other full-time designers. Prepared slide presentations for courtroom cases. Worked in Illustrator and Powerpoint. Built presentation boards.

MAY2007 – JUNE2007 – Coleman Partners - Chicago, IL
A three week, part-time job. Duties focused around concepting and creative design, production design, photo re-touching and color adjustment. Projects included a catalog, direct mail pieces and brochures.

MAY2007 – JUNE2007 – Ibis Design - Chicago, IL
A three week, part-time gig, I provided concepting and creative design on advertisments, brochures, a newsletter, and a style guide.

APRIL2007 – Ravinia Music Festival - Highland Park, IL
A two week, full-time project working on-site, I provided production services and creative design working on large-scale banners, catalog layouts and various other internal materials.

FEB2005 – JULY2006 – Media X Press/Greatapes - Minneapolis, MN
Production Designer responsible for project management and setting up files for silk-screen and Heidelberg offset lithography press. Also provided creative design solutions for clients and internal projects. This was a fast-pased work environment requiring efficiency, multi-tasking and organization.

OCT2004 – DEC2005 – Midway Contemporary Art - St. Paul, MN
Pro-Bono Designer and consultant for this internationally recognized non-profit gallery. Responsibilities
included working with Director and taking directions from Board Members to design posters, brochures and an identity system. Consultant responsibilities included discussions about signage and printing.

JUNE2004 – JAN2005 – Kilter Industries - Minneapolis, MN
Full-Time Freelance Designer responsible for a number of collaborative and individual projects for major clients including The Minnesota Timberwolves, Avon and Hatworld (Lids.com).+ Required excellent communication skills, long-term planning, in-depth research, multi-tasking and creative problem solving.

JULY2003 – NOV2003 – Kilter Industries - Minneapolis, MN
Full-Time Design Intern responsible for a variety of different design projects at this Gen-Y geared Graphic Design Firm. Worked on direct marketing items, identity systems, logo design and catalogues.

SEPT2001 – MAY2003 – Paramount Arts District - St. Cloud, MN
Graphic Designer for this non-profit theater and arts community. Responsible for designing flyers, posters and pamphlets for upcoming events and exhibitions according to directions from the Visual Arts Coordinator.

Achievements

NOV2004 – Greatmiddlewest Artist Collective
Founder/Webmaster - This website is a home-base for a group of artists living in various parts of the country. It is used to share our ideas and new work. It is a meeting place for collaborative projects.
The site was launched in January, 2005.

APRIL2003 – Kiehle Visual Arts Center Annual Student Show
Best of Show $300 – St. Cloud State University, St, Cloud, MN
For a collaborative short film titled Minot, ND. Duties included camera work, editing and musical score. Show was judged and currated by John Rasmussen, Director of Midway Contemporary Art in St. Paul, MN.

APRIL2002 – Ralph Heimdahl Art Scholarship
$300 Scholarship – St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, MN
For artwork entered into scholarship competition. Work included graphic design, fine art and a brief essay.
